Prof. Ir. Dr. Hazlina Selamat holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, completed in 2007, and a Masters in Engineering (Electrical) from the same university, completed in 2000. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine, London, completed in 1998. Prof. Hazlina Selamat has received several awards and achievements, including the Outstanding Asian Science Diplomat Award in 2021, being recognized as one of the “30 Women in Robotics You Need to Know About in 2020” by Robohub, and receiving the US ASEAN Science & Technology Fellowship Award in 2018/2019.
